Dr. Anwar received his bachelor of medicine and surgery degree from Dow Medical College followed by an internship in internal medicine and general surgery at Civil Hospital Karachi. He then completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals in Chicago, followed by a fellowship in surgical pathology at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut.
