Dr. Eric Schloss obtained his medical degree from the University of Alberta. After completing an internship in family practice at Montreal General Hospital, Dr. Schloss returned to Alberta for a residency in general pathology. He was a general pathologist for Dr. S. Hanson & Associates and the Edmonton General Hospital from 1969 to 1975, serving as head of the department of laboratory medicine at the Edmonton General Hospital from 1971 – 1975. He then completed training in internal medicine at the University of Alberta, followed by a residency in dermatology at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. Dr. Schloss has maintained a rigorous work schedule for many years, combining a busy private practice of dermatology and dermatopathology with consulting work for DynaLIFEDx.
Dr. Schloss, an avid book collector, has been honored by the University of Alberta on several occasions for contributions from his collection of rare books and first editions of modern literature. He and his wife Elexis are active humanitarians and community builders, such as leading a relief mission to Haiti for The World Foundation of Children.
