Dr. Carolyn O’Hara obtained her medical degree from the University of Manitoba and completed a residency in general pathology at the University of Alberta. She is American Board Certified in Anatomical Pathology and Clinical Pathology. After completion of her general pathology residency, she attended the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for additional training in bone and soft tissue pathology. Dr. O’Hara works as a consultant at the Cross Cancer Institute, where she is a member of the Multidisciplinary Sarcoma team. She is a member of the General Pathology Residency Training Committee at the University of Alberta Hospital.
Areas of clinical and research expertise: Bone and soft tissue pathology, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), adult Ewing sarcoma and laboratory utilization
